Creative Services Producer

The Creative Services Manager is a dual responsibility position. One responsibility is to oversee the complete process of production by handling the scheduling, orchestration, production, and completion of commercial projects for the station. The second responsibility is for developing and implementing special projects and promotions to enhance the stations image. The Creative Services Manager has to focus on managing Account Executive and client relations, script writing, on-location and off-location shooting, non-linear editing, advertising graphics, audio correction, commercial billing and project archives. At the same time, this persons duties will include writing press releases and announcements about new programming, television specials, station personalities, promotions, events in which the station is taking part, and station promotions in other media outlets (i.e. hurricane tracking charts, job fair, etc.) Some duties for the Creative Services Manager include producing commercials for stand-alone advertising projects as well as category specific packaged commercial projects. Many of these projects will include commercial and web advertisement of varying lengths, which will require the production of a variety of assignments from commercials to long-form videos. The entire production process is covered by the Creative Services Department, which requires the Manager to conduct meetings for concepts and script writing, attend location-specific video shoots, and maintain open lines of communication during the post-production process until the finished product is approved by the client. Other duties for the Creative Services Manager include developing and implementing effective promotions and special projects, contests, and sweepstakes. He/she will also work closely with the News and Sales Departments to find ways to increase the viewing audience, in order to increase advertising revenues. The Creative Services Manager attends, on behalf of the station, conventions, meetings, and seminars related to promotion or advertising and general station business. Other duties also include the creation of graphic elements for newscasts, promotions, web and social media. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Communicating with the Creative Services Editor to maintain a proper queue of projects so that production is complete in a timely fashion. Attending business meetings for potential and current projects. Keeping production equipment and assets safely stored and ready to be used on an assignment as the need arises. Monitoring on-air commercials and on-line services for inaccuracies or problems. Working with other departments for assistance or guidance on their projects. Meeting with the Promotions Editor and Webmaster to address daily assignments and goals. Complete daily logs for all local station topical promotions and PSAs. Checking the station website for updates, typos, misspelling and content. Monitor social media for consistent updates by talent and site administrators and remove inappropriate comments and information. Working with Account Executives on various promotions, projects, giveaways, that are in production or actively on air. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on station public service and community involvement/outreach.
