KOIT Full-Time Programming Producer (9015)

96.5 KOIT is seeking a full-time programming producer. Youll work beside the Program Director and On-Air Talent to generate content synergy between programming, promotions and digital. Candidates must be able to relate to the 96.5 KOIT lifestyle (parenting, pets, cooking, bay area lifestyle, etc.). Applicants must be able to write engaging content for blogs, produce creative videos, event recap videos and develop high-quality graphics. Its essential that you have strong communications skills and understand that our content and digital presence is a key part of our mission to provide leadership that builds up, connects, informs and celebrates Bay Area communities and families. To be considered, please include a link to recent video work, writing and graphic production.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with on-air talent to locate compelling on-air content
Creative daily blogging and scheduling social media using station strategy
MUST have great video editing and filming/photography skills.
Be well-connected with the broader social media world and actively participate in social networking websites.
Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities and determine benefits of applying tools to appropriate areas.
Regularly monitor social media tools, trends and applications and activity
Work in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ability to handle stress.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management, and clients. 
Consistently work required to meet deadlines including weekends, holidays, evenings, etc.
Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
Personal growth and development.
Other duties as assigned.
 

REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

College degree in journalism, communications, related field, or equivalent preferred
Advanced experience with Adobe Premiere or Final Cut video editing platforms and Adobe Photoshop
3-5 years of experience using social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
An understanding and appreciation for journalism ethics and writing, audience and marketplace
The ability to motivate and teach staff
Deep understanding of social media techniques and tools and the ability to research and implement new practices
Experience with open source publishing tools, including WordPress and other content management systems
Superior written and oral communications skills are essential, along with the ability to juggle multiple tasks on deadline
Excellent use of judgment and discretion.

Help administer contests and answer listener phone calls, including screening listener calls for live shows
Operate satellite receivers
Conduct EAS tests
Requirements:

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong working knowledge of the audio equipment necessary for on-air broadcasts. 
Must be a team player who can work with multiple personalities in a creative environment.
Must be available on weekends

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Bay Area Adult Contemporary 96.5 KOIT has a very rare opening for a full-time Music Director, Digital Content Producer and voice tracker for nights. To be considered all candidates must have a high level of experience using Music Master, RCS/Selector or G-Selector, a super creative social and digital content vision and recent large market on-air experience. Be sure to include a short mp3 aircheck and attached resume.
