The desired candidate will be comfortable in assuming a leadership role within the newsroom, coach news team members when applicable and demonstrate a personal commitment to continued professional growth and development.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering breaking news in an urgent and credible manner, breaking stories of major significance to our viewers, establishing and cultivating sources, a flair for pursuing engaging content for our newscasts and digital platforms, becoming a well-known and engaging personality in the region, and a reputation for standing out as a newsroom leader.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Journalism, Mass Communication or equivalent.
- 2+ years experience as an Anchor or Reporter with Anchor experience.
- Ability to shoot and edit video should the need arise.
- Possess a valid Alabama drivers’ license or ability to obtain; good driving record, and satisfactorily pass pre-employment drug screening.
