Station managers and General Managers sets the work ethic, tone and pace of a station. Ultimately, they are responsible for the success – commercially and in a regulatory sense – of the station. But those managers don’t run the station by themselves. Many stations also require the skills of a bookkeeper, office manager, assistants and receptionists.

While the traditional path to a top position is through sales with mandatory college degrees, the support staff in any station come from all levels of education and experience.
