Reporting to the Director of Business Systems and Analytics, the Financial Analyst we are looking for must have the ability to work and communicate effectively with individuals of all levels within our organization. Clarity of communication, attention to detail, analytical insight and patience are hallmarks of this role.
This position plays a key role within our "Adaptive Torchie" award winning team in administering our budgeting and forecasting system – Adaptive Insights. It will also provide other ad hoc analyses and support to strategic divisional initiatives. In addition the position will work with the key team members to facilitate new projects and execute process improvements. The position offers multiple opportunities to showcase analytical skills to various senior executives and provides great networking opportunities.
This position requires a highly motivated, self-starting professional, who can balance multiple responsibilities and initiatives. He/she must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and be able to perform a variety of tasks under time pressure. Drive the reporting function by building dashboards and other summaries for management; communicate results and useful metrics in a timely manner.
Support close process by identifying risks and opportunities; create and execute on plans to realize potential opportunities and mitigate risks.
Work closely with Department Heads to share best practices and identify areas for simplification; build relationships with finance teams and sales departments across the Bonneville markets.
Periodically present updates on financial and operating performance and other projects to finance and operating leadership teams.
Participate in ad hoc projects in order to gain knowledge in other areas and cultivate creativity.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Minimum of 1 year of experience performing financial analysis, forecasting, and/or financial modeling
Extensive experience working with Excel
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, detail and process oriented
Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
Ability to quickly build relationships across the organization
Proficiency with PowerPoint and CPM software such as Adaptive Insights preferred
Good interpersonal skills
Team player with exceptional work ethic
Clear thinker with problem solving skills, ability to research problems and drive resolutions
Strong time management skills, can prioritize workload and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination.
Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion.
