IT Technician


KUSI is looking for an electronics technician to assist the Engineering Department in their mission.



The ideal candidate will have experience with Networking, Server Maintenance and PC upkeep.  Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft O.S. Systems including Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8/ and 10 .  Understanding Active Directory, Server 2008/2012 OS’s and LAN/WAN topology will bring your resume to the top.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate Degree in Information Technologies, Computer sciences or Technical training in a related field.  An understanding of newsroom computer systems such as Associated Press ENPS is a plus. In addition, a working knowledge of basic electronics is required. Candidates need to know how to use basic tools and soldering de-soldering techniques.  A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a working technical environment is necessary.  Experience with configurations of Network Infrastructure, LAN, WAN, Switch configurations, ipv4 and ipv6 routing. Good working knowledge of video streaming protocols helpful. Candidates need to have the ability to diagnose, repair and configure Client PC’s and Servers back to operational service quickly and efficiently.
