Morning & Noon Anchor/Producer – KGWN

We’re looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our award-winning news team as an Anchor/Producer. This is a terrific opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow in the broadcast industry without the high-stakes presser of a larger market.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
  • Co-produce and anchor morning newscast, then producer and anchor Noon newscast
  • Enterprise story ideas that matter to viewers
  • Meet tight daily deadlines for broadcast while helping to post web/digital content in a timely manner
  • Respond urgently and appropriately to breaking and developing news
  • Knowledge of non-linear video editing programs is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills – Flexibility in scheduling, to respond to the changing news landscape
  • Be a leader in the newsroom
Qualification/Requirements:
  • A degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Valid Driver’s License required
