Newscast Producer (Nightside) – KOLN, Lincoln

Are you a detail-oriented, creative journalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment? The 10/11 News team is seeking an Evening Newscast Producer to take the lead on our market-leading newscasts at 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Our producers are true newsroom leaders. You will contribute daily to elevating our newscasts. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, thrives under deadline pressure, and has a strong grasp of local and national news. This producer will craft compelling, visually engaging newscasts that inform and connect with our audience on all platforms.

While the evening newscasts will be your primary objective, 10/11 is rapidly evolving to keep up with the demands of viewers who are seeking out local news on all platforms. You will be cross-trained to produce content for our social media, website, and streaming desk. You must be an innovator who can see the big picture, as well as someone who is a stickler for the details, writing conversationally (for TV) and with AP Style (for digital).

If you feel you’re qualified and want to work with a great group of people, apply now!

  • Time management skills are essential. Must be able to work quickly while maintaining accuracy, especially in a breaking news situation.
  • Adaptability and hunger to learn: The media landscape is always changing, and you’re excited to evolve with it.
  • A true team player: You lift others and know that the best work happens when we collaborate.
  • A strong candidate will have a responsible presence on digital platforms, including social media.
  • Some knowledge of CMS and digital platforms, as well as newscast producing and editing technology, is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal). A writing test will be required.
